Arrive on Christmas Island
Escorted to The Sunset to be settled into the rooms
Island briefing focussing on Island layout, safety concerns, cultural considerations and planned touring
6.30pm Welcome Beach BBQ at Flying Fish Cove. BYO alcohol.

7.30am Continental Breakfast
8.30am Christmas Island Orientation Tour with Lisa Preston of Indian Ocean Experiences. Orientation includes an explanation of Island history, culture and photographic opportunities.
11.30am Lunch at Noodle House – selection of local noodle dishes.
12.30pm Return to room for leisure time *
2pm Guided Tour to Golf Course Lookout with Lisa – a steep trail with view of local frigate and booby birds in flight.
4.30pm Return to hotel to get ready for dinner
6pm Dinner at local restaurant

5.30am Sunrise photography of ‘The Rock’ in Flying Fish Cove.
7.30am Continental breakfast at Hotel
8.30am Tour to The Dales with Lisa – pristine springs with a waterfall. Good boardwalk but rough terrain. Light morning tea rest at Waterfall.
11.30am Lunch at Martin Point. Picnic items with juice etc.
1pm Trek into Merrial Beach with Lisa – need very good mobility for this. Short walk but must be able to climb down some rock faces (safe but need to go slow).
2pm Return to Hotel for leisure time *
7pm Dinner at local restaurant

5.15 am Sunrise at Lily/ Ethel Beach – opportunity for bird silhouettes
7.30am Cooked breakfast – location to be advised.
9.00am Visit The Blowholes – covered jungle photography – low light landscapes
12.30pm Return to town for lunch
2pm Return to hotel for leisure time *
7pm Dinner at local restaurant.

7.30am Cooked breakfast at hotel
9.00am Dolly Beach walk – 2km walk into coconut-lined remote beach, home to many Robber Crabs
12 noon Lunch – Picnic at Greta Beach
1pm Light clean up of Greta Beach
2pm Return to hotel for leisure time *
5.30pm – 6.15 Sunset photography session
7pm, Dinner at local restaurant

7.30am Continental breakfast at Hotel
9.00am Temple photography – macro/ portrait/ artefact/cultural photography
12 noon Lunch at local café
1pm Visit ‘Lizard Lounge’ Hosted by National Parks – reptile conservation program featuring stunning rainbow skinks
3pm Orphaned bird feeding host by National Park
4pm Return to room for leisure time *
6pm BBQ Dinner – place to be advised. BYO Drinks

7.30am Continental breakfast at Hotel
9.00am Revisit any areas of interest or leisure time *
12 noon Picnic at Lily Beach gazebos (optional beach swim)
2pm -3pm Return to hotel for leisure time *
6pm Dinner – 3 course dinner served around pool at The Sunset

7.30am Cooked breakfast – place to be advised.
9.00am Leisure time * (pack)
11.00am Depart hotel to check in at airport
12 noon Lunch at airport kiosk
5:30pm Arrive Perth

*Leisure time can consist of the following: free time, napping, going for a walk, scheduled conversations with Alex and Tony, souvenir shopping, reading, taking photos around town, photo processing / editing, etc.

• Price per person twin share is $7495
• $1995 deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your place
• Balance is due in full by 30th June 2020
• Cost of a single supplement is an additional $900

• The early bird price per person twin share is $6995
• Pay in full by 31st August 2019 to receive early bird price
• Cost of a single supplement is an additional $900

Conditions of Travel
• IslandLIGHT reserves the right to change or substitute itinerary routes, transport vehicles, staff, accommodation and or activities wherever necessary.
• IslandLIGHT will not be held responsible for delays out of our control, such as, but not limited to: severe weather conditions, guest arrival, rescheduling, changes in guest transport arrangements pre or post tour dates on bus, train, plane or cruise ship etc resulting in missed travel connections or loss/damage of personal belongings.
• If elements of the Itinerary are missed in such cases, the tour leader may be required to amend times and itineraries accordingly, and IslandLIGHT is not liable for any costs incurred by participants due to such circumstances and no refunds will be given.
• IslandLIGHT is unable to guarantee precise arrival and departure times throughout a confirmed tour itinerary. However, every effort has been made to ensure all tour information promoted is listed as correct.

$1000 of deposit paid is non-refundable but can be transferred to future tours.

If cancellation takes place more than 70 days prior to departure date, tour payment will be refunded minus the $1000 non-refundable deposit.

If cancellation takes place between 70 and 35 days prior to departure date 50% of the tour price will be forfeited.

If cancellation takes place less than 35 days prior to departure date, or in case of “no-shows”, 100% of the tour price will be forfeited.
