Tony Hewitt has been involved in the field of photography for the past 20 years.
His work has won awards both within Australia and overseas and this has lead
to his receiving a 'Triple Master of Photography', from the Australian Institute of
Professional Photography and a 'Fellowship', from the New Zealand Institute of
Professional Photography, one of only a few Australians to have done so.
Tony is a recent winner of the Western Australia EPSON Professional Photographer
of the year 2004, together with Western Australia Wedding Photographer and Western
Australia Landscape Photographer of the year. With numerous Gold and Silver
national awards to his name, he has also previously achieved the highest scoring
portrait print and the highest scoring landscape print at the Australian Professional
Photography Awards. Recent awards include 3 Gold and 3 Silver Awards at WPPI
(Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) Las Vegas 2004, and 1 Gold
Distinction and 2 Silver Distinction Awards at the APPA (Australian Professional
Photography Awards) 2004. In addition Tony received the Master Photography
Award together with the highest scoring Wedding image. He is a national judge
and is currently the state president of the AIPP.
Tony's instinctive awareness of the nuances of people and their needs in relation
to photography, has seen him build a successful wedding and portrait business
based on referral and reputation. In addition Tony Hewitt Studios services a growing
demand for Tony's landscape and fine-art images, particularly suitable for home
and office décor. It is his ability to capture exquisite and unique images of people
and the landscape that has seen him become one of Australia's leading photographic
artists.
Tony has co-authored 9 books which are reflective of a background of study in the
area of lifeskills and relationships. Presenting ideas and thoughts which combined
